Fall has arrived!
With the change in the weather this weekend, and the official beginning of fall with the Autumn Equinox, the season is official. Time to sign up for fall and winter!
We are currently signing up fall and winter shares. We're offering "Fall Only shares", which go to Christmas, and "Fall and Winter shares", which go all the way to May (with a one month break in January). Both options are every other week distributions, starting October 23. The "F1 read more »
Planting for winter
These last couple of weeks we've planted lots of seeds and plants that will provide for our winter CSA, which will start on the 23rd of October. About the farm
Millsap Farms is a first generation family farm, located just 4 miles north of Springfield Missouri. Curtis and Sarah Millsap, along with their 10 children, farm manager Kimby, and a few interns, apprentices, and volunteers, grow 2 acres of vegetables year-round on their 20 acre farm. They grow a wide variety of vegetables, using organic techniques, never using synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, and focussing on the health of the soil. The Millsaps have been farming full-time for 14 years, and have a serious long-term commitment to their community to provide high quality produce and a welcoming farm.
