Everything finally dried out and warmed up enough to transplant a bunch of plants. We have tomatoes, peppers, squash, lots of flowers, and celery transplanted. Of course we are still at least a month away from harvesting most of this, but it’s still a major step into the season.

What a great start to spring! We have lots of lettuce, spinach, radishes, kale, and other spring treats this week, along with eggs, excellent fermented veggies, and cheese.

March 19 vegetable availability and plant sales this weekend.
Well, we didn't wash away entirely last week, although we did get almost 6 inches of rain! The ground still squishes when we walk around, but due to the mulches and compost that cover most of our growing areas, we didn't lose significant soil. Meanwhile the plants are thriving in their1 read more »

About the farm
Millsap Farms is a first generation family farm, located just 4 miles north of Springfield Missouri. Curtis and Sarah Millsap, along with their 10 children, farm manager Kimby, and a few interns, apprentices, and volunteers, grow 2 acres of vegetables year-round on their 20 acre farm. They grow a wide variety of vegetables, using organic techniques, never using synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, and focussing on the health of the soil. The Millsaps have been farming full-time for 14 years, and have a serious long-term commitment to their community to provide high quality produce and a welcoming farm.
