These last couple of weeks we've planted lots of seeds and plants that will provide for our winter CSA, which will start on the 23rd of October. We've planted spinach, chard, kale, beets, carrots, turnips, cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower. These crops will mature in October, November, and even December, for our every other week CSA distributions, then we will take a break through the month of January, and pick back up in February. We plan to have shares available for sale starting this coming week, so keep an eye on your inbox. We usually sell out our winter CSA, as quantities are much more limited, so if you want to get your regular dose of greens, carrots, sweet potatoes, and other winter delights, be sure to get signed up as soon as we open the membership.

About the farm
Millsap Farms is a first generation family farm, located just 4 miles north of Springfield Missouri. Curtis and Sarah Millsap, along with their 10 children, farm manager Kimby, and a few interns, apprentices, and volunteers, grow 2 acres of vegetables year-round on their 20 acre farm. They grow a wide variety of vegetables, using organic techniques, never using synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, and focussing on the health of the soil. The Millsaps have been farming full-time for 14 years, and have a serious long-term commitment to their community to provide high quality produce and a welcoming farm.
