A day in the life of a farmer

Posted on March 4th, 2020 by Justina Soltys

Dear Spoon Full Farm Family,

When you run a farm that raises grass-fed cows, pastured chickens and in addition, responsibly grows delicious food for our community, a day on the farm is never boring, and there is nothing quite as alarming as realizing your cows are missing.

Just today, our cows had decided to take an unexpected stroll through the woods after noticing that the fence to their pasture was left wide open as we had forgotten to close the gates after doing morning animal chores.

And so, most of the day was spent herding our cows through the wooded areas on the farm and back into their pasture.

Days like this happen, while not often, still happens and we can't help but chuckle at the end of the day at the thought of our cows taking a walk on the trails on our farm, snacking on shrubs and other grasses along the way.

Yours,

Spoon Full Farmers
