End of the September!

Posted on September 25th, 2020 by Justina Soltys

Dear Spoon Full Farm Family,

The end of September is upon us. The Autumnal Equinox, also known as the first day of fall, was a couple of days ago, and just over the course of the last couple of days, the signs of autumn has been very present in the fields. Our fennel is starting to bulb up, and we are in the midst of finishing up our potato harvest, and staring to prep our greenhouses for winter greens, which we will seed next week. At the same time, our field and greenhouse tomatoes are still going strong, and we certainly are not mad about that. We've been prepping, storing, freezing and canning as many tomatoes we can for the colder months to come.

This week your CSA share will include the best of both crops summer and fall has to offer. Carrots, yellow onions, red potatoes, slicer tomatoes, oh my.

Wishing you good health,

Your Spoon Full Farmers
