Last week of March, Getting Things Done!

Posted on March 30th, 2021 by Curtis Millsap

Everything finally dried out and warmed up enough to transplant a bunch of plants. We have tomatoes, peppers, squash, lots of flowers, and celery transplanted. Of course we are still at least a month away from harvesting most of this, but it’s still a major step into the season.

Meanwhile, we are still harvesting abundant lettuce, spinach, radishes, salad turnips, and tons of celery.

If you have not tried our celery, you should really give it a whirl. Locally raised celery is a completely different experience than store-bought celery.  It’s sweeter, with a lot more flavor, and is wonderful in a Waldorf salad, or a pot of soup, or anything else that calls for celery with character.

Of course we also have eggs, fermented vegetables, Lions mane and oyster mushrooms, and some beautiful Easter bouquets.  Order here for pickup on the farm or at the market or home delivery on Saturday. https://www.harvie.farm/farm/millsap-farms/shop

And if you still haven’t signed up for summer csa, there’s still space: sign up here:  https://www.harvie.farm/farm/millsap-farms/signup

Thanks for letting us put good food on your table.
