First CSA Distribution May 10, 2022

Posted on May 10th, 2022 by Kimberly Decker

Welcome to the 2022 CSA program!  The big news this year is that we have integrated the Bread and Fruit CSA shares into the regular share.  That means that if you want to have bread and fruit in your share every week, you need to set your preferences accordingly.  Or, if you don't want these items, you need to do the opposite, and rank them low.  Similarly, there will be ferments like sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles, and curtido included in the shares, and sometimes there will be beef or other proteins.  The take-away is that you absolutely need to set your preferences if you want to continue to receive a share tailored to you.  Here's a short video explaining the process;  https://www.loom.com/share/e47c0400c75b4fb092082560e88d3dec

If you have trouble with this process, let me know, and I'll help you get things pointed the right direction.

Also, remember that you have a two day window Saturday and Sunday to edit your share.  You can swap things out of your share, add additional food, change the pickup location, or even cancel the share for the week. As long as you stay within the value of your share, there is no charge for any changes.  If you add more items, they will be charged to your card on file.

Finally, here's the link to sign up to help on the farm.  Remember the workshare requirement is to help on the farm for 12 hours per season.  That's 12 person-hours, so if you bring a friend, 6 hours fulfills the commitment, and so on.  Get signed up here;  https://signup.com/go/bxqceOu

Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy the fruits and greens of spring; it's been a cool wet spring, so the tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and warm weather crops are a bit behind, but the asparagus, strawberries, and kale are growing like weeds.  See you soon on the farm.   Thank you for trusting us to be your farmers.
