Here we are - the final spring share of the year. On June 3rd, we'll be delivering our first summer share. The spring share eases us into the rhythm of the CSA season with 29 weekly boxes to pack. There are 93 shares scheduled for the first week of summer deliveries. Here we go!

Good morning! Hope that you are enjoying this beautiful day. We've been cultivating and planting and harvesting and preparing for tomorrow's much needed rain. Today, we'll be transplanting sweet corn, peppers, and eggplant. Summer is on it's way!

This past week has flown by. I cannot believe that I am sending out another CSA email already! We spent Thursday preparing for the cold - covering tender greens and freshly germinated crops with row cover. We had a cold snap like this last year. It is amazing how resilient plants are. It's the middle of November, but this weather has us feeling like we're in deep winter. Despite the frigid temps, our hoophouse greens are hanging on! Spinach and salad mix are available in this week's share. The spinach is flavorfull and full leaf - great for salads or for cooking.

About the farm
Meadowlark Community Farm is nestled in the southwest corner of Juneau County in the Driftless region of Wisconsin. Craig and Lauren Kreutzer (and their family) grow about 3 acres of diverse, certified organic produce. 2021 will be our 7th growing season, and we're honored to feed our community!
