The farm looks (and feels) pretty summer-y these days. The tasseling sweet corn and tomato plants full of green fruit enjoyed the heat wave. We are thankful for a break from the 90 degree weather. It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of June, and that this is the 5th week of summer CSA deliveries. Happy first day of summer!  June and early July are a whirlwind on the farm. We are seeding and transplanting every week, harvest is in full swing, and the weeds seem to grow faster than some of our crops! We welcome the shift from lengthening to shortening of the days. Good morning!  We've been enjoying beautiful skies during our field work this week. When we weren't rained out from the tropical storm, our focus was on weeding and setting up trellising. Happy Saturday! This week's offerings are another mix of crops from the field, our hoophouse, and the greenhouse. The carrots were planted back in the beginning of March in our hoophouse. Here we are - the final spring share of the year. On June 3rd, we'll be delivering our first summer share. The spring share eases us into the rhythm of the CSA season with 29 weekly boxes to pack.
