Nature's miracles

Posted on February 20th, 2020 by Justina Soltys

Dear Spoon Full Farm Family,

Today marks the first day of seeding for our 2020 spring/summer season!

In the course of just one day, thousands of seeds were sown by Phoebe, our garden manager. Already, trays of Walla Walla Sweet Onions, parsley, and celery have filled most of the tables in our warm and cozy hothouse. And this is only the beginning of our seeding. Trays of oregano and hot peppers will fill the rest of the hothouse within the next couple of days.

Seeds are truly one of nature’s miracles. It’s incredible to know that a single seed, sometimes smaller than a ladybug, will eventually come to produce a delicious crop that will feed and nourish many people for multiple weeks throughout the season.

As the days go on and grow longer, we’ll watch as these seeds grow and grow and grow, and continue to marvel as the thought that a single seed could accomplish so much in such a short span.

We’re excited to have our hands in the soil again. And we're excited for the spring season, which is so closely upon us.

We truly can't wait to harvest the delicious bounty that our humble seeds produce.

(Sign-ups for our 2020 Spoon Full CSA are still available, but not for long, so make sure to sign up soon for a summer of bountiful deliciousness from our whole-Earth garden).

Love,

Spoon Full Farmers
