The first briskets of Spring

Posted on April 4th, 2019 by Mericos Rhodes

Dear Spoon Full Farm Family,

Now that the days are longer than the nights, the land begins to awaken. Birds titter in the trees. In the garden, we dig through the soft soil to unearth the first briskets of Spring. These large pieces of deliciousness grow all winter long, before we harvest them for you, in time for Easter.

Just kidding. We are a little late on the April fools, this year. But in all seriousness: We have several incredibly rich, family-feeding briskets available, right on time for passover. And/or easter. These are big, nourishing cuts with all the wonderful nutrition of last summer's lush green grass. Check them out in the "extras" section this week. Also, please email me (mericos@spoonfullfarm.com) any time if you want a particular beef or lamb cut or other product (honey, sauerkraut, ballet beets, etc) delivered.

Meanwhile, in the garden, kale, lettuce, cabbage, and broccoli are rooting down into the ground, ready to grow delicious, tender leaves. Our first summer produce CSA delivery will be June 26th. If you think you may want to receive a box of amazing beyond-organic vegetables every week (or two) this summer and fall, now is a good time to sign up.

The first wildflowers are blooming, here in Thorp. May you enjoy a blossom near you - it's almost always worthwhile to stop and smell the flowers.

With love,

Spoon Full Farmers
