Garlic Love.

Posted on July 10th, 2020 by Justina Soltys

Dear Spoon Full Farm Family,

The strong summer winds finally calmed down today, and we were able to enjoy the stillness and the warmth of the sun. It was the perfect weather to harvest garlic! Yes! Garlic! We harvested 14 rows of garlic, which equates to over 3,000 heads of garlic today! (Towards the end of the garlic harvest, our hands started to smell like garlic.) It's a good thing we love garlic so much. We're excited to put the first garlic of the season in your share this week.

In addition to an exciting garlic harvest this week, there was some serious weeding this week in the kohlrabi and eggplant. Our zucchini and sweet peppers are coming along. Our cherry tomatoes are plentiful and sweet. And, our storage onions are sizing up.

More exciting news - we will be offering 1 lb. bags of juicy and delicious peaches from Collins Family Orchard as extras this week.

Happy eating!

Wishing you good health,

Your Spoon Full Farmers
