The start of a delicious summer

Posted on June 12th, 2020 by Justina Soltys

Dear Spoon Full Farm Family,

Welcome to the 2020 Summer CSA! This is the first produce box of the season and we are so happy to bring you delicious, and nourishing food this summer. You have got lots of greens coming your way! Your CSA box this Wednesday (and Thursday) will be full of:

Hearty kale, tender salad greens (a mix of baby kale, loose-leaf lettuce, and arugula), parsley, komatsuna (a type of Japanese mustard spinach green - it's wonderful eaten raw or stir-fried), garlic scapes (recipe tip: substitute garlic for garlic scapes in your pesto), and Rainer cherries from Collins Family Orchard! Yes, you'll be getting cherries this week!

Oh, and you'll be able to add Esterina cherry tomatoes (1/2 pint) to your box if you'd like by adding them to your share by Sunday evening!

Our spring was spent starting seeds in the greenhouse, prepping beds, and planting out in the field. Now, our fields are full of rows of happy, and healthy plants!  We are overjoyed to finally harvest vegetables for you, our incredible CSA customers. We love you.

We hope you enjoy an amazing box this week and we can't wait to bring you more diversity and abundance as the summer weeks go on.

Happy summer and happy eating!

Wishing you good health,

Your Spoon Full Farmers
