Farm Happenings for June 13, 2023

Posted on June 9th, 2023 by Kimberly Decker

We've been busy on the farm this week; we've planted 700 feet of sweet potatoes, more tomatoes, trellised tomatoes, transplanted lettuce, flowers, weeded many rows, harvested hundreds of pounds of produce and flowers, and generally enjoyed ourselves...

Meanwhile, the warm temperatures have increased the supply of cherry tomatoes and zucchini, and we are offering the first green tomatoes.  Also, if you haven't tried them, we have some great dandylion greens this week.  These are not the weeds from you yard, but a cultivated variety with a less bitter flavor and beautiful deep green color.  They are an Italian favorite, and super healthy.

Sorry for the brief e-mail today; we're getting pizza started here, and we're moving fast.

Hope you're enjoying a swimming pool somewhere, and that you enjoy a good sunset or sunrise this weekend.

Thanks,

Farmer Curtis
