The last week of winter is treating us well so far.  Sunday we gathered with other vegetable and flower farmers from the Ozarks, at a friend's farm in Arkansas, to share ideas, practices, and enjoy each other's company.  It's always a good gathering, and a great time to fellowship with others whose lives are committed to coaxing a living from the land.  Back on the farm we've been working on getting a new high tunnel covered, while we wait for temperatures to warm to plan tomatoes and squash, which we're hoping will happen early next week.

There are lots of yummy and beautiful things on the list today; bouquets, spinach, celery, salad mix, and more. We're happy to have more bulb pots this week, with hyacinths that should start blooming in about two weeks (probably about easter time). You can speed these up or slow them down by providing a warmer (kitchen) or cooler (enclosed porch) environment.  We are also still offering free grape hyacinth bulbs, which need to get in the ground!!!  They are starting to pop up around our place, and we expect them to bloom in the next week or so, depending on how soon it warms up.

Thank you for continuing to eat (and decorate) local.
