Farm Happenings for May 24, 2022

Posted on May 20th, 2022 by Kimberly Decker

It's been a great week on the farm; we had great spring weather, with enough warmth to keep things growing, and gentle breezes to help blow away excess water.  The cherry tomatoes are just starting to ripen, so those should be coming to shares in a week or so, and the cucumbers are starting to produce as well.

Armand Bechard requests that you send your egg cartons back anytime you've got clean ones that could be re-used; the price of cartons has doubled in the past year!

This time of year I often reflect on what an amazing place we live and farm in;  the beauty of a foggy morning, or the wonder of a lightning filled night sky both remind me that we are surrounded by awe-inspiring scenes, if I just take the time to look.  The weather is a constantly shifting source of interest, whether it's a hot day that makes the creek seem so inviting, or a dark and rainy day with strong winds and even hail!  Watching the columbine and clover flowers weather the heat and rain with grace is a great reminder to me that there's so much to be grateful for, and that I'm awash in mercy and grace.

Hope you're enjoying this spring as much as I am, and that you have some time this weekend to enjoy the incredible place we get to call home.

Thanks,

Curtis
