Farm Happenings for September 18, 2020

Posted on September 16th, 2020 by Kimberly Decker

Hi Friends! Curtis and Family are having a great river adventure in Idaho this week!  If you have questions about your share or last minute changes feel free to contact me - Kimby - (Curtis will be out of cell coverage once on the river until Monday (9/21).  My cell is 859-629-5375 - Texting is great!  >>>>>Also, apples are fruit share this week (and probably for the rest of the season) - this week we have Jonathan Apples from Sunshine Valley Orchard.<<<<<<We are looking at a little cooler weather next week - so hopefully we can get some spinach going.  Spinach has a hard time getting started with temperatures above 80 - so it's been a challenge so far to get some good stands established.  We've been transplanting and seeding like crazy (and sadly removing dying tomatoes to make space!). Fall veggies are slowly starting to arrive in your shares, along with more peppers, mild and hot. We harvested sweet potatoes this week - but don't get too excited yet - they need to cure for at least a week before we can send them out - but soon!  Enjoy the change in seasons!

Thanks for choosing us to be your farmers!
