Heating Up - June!

Posted on May 30th, 2019 by Mericos Rhodes

Dear Spoon Full Farm Family,

At this point in the year, the speed of cumulative plant growth in our garden and pastures (not to mention in the wild woods) far outpaces our cumulative human speed of movement. Still, we must try to keep up with the plants. We're cutting hay, hoeing weeds, and planting, planting, planting, planting, planting. Meanwhile, cherry tomatoes are almost ripe.

With our fingers firmly crossed, we are expecting to have cherry tomatoes in this summer's FIRST CSA box, which we'll deliver on June 26. Judging by the speed of time, lately, that day will be here before we know it.

If you plan to sign up for a produce CSA and haven't already, now is a very helpful time for you to do so, to help us finalize our packaging and packing plans (how many wooden crates will we need!?) -- and if you know somebody who may be interested in the delicious bountiful produce, it's easy to refer them to us, from your Harvie account homepage. When you do so, you'll receive a free $25 credit to get some farm goods (that's worth a jar of honey and a dozen eggs!).

Also - visit Spoonfullfarm.com/events1 to RSVP for a guided farm tour on June 15th (free for you as a CSA member!) and/or a casual dinner and presentation about the carbon farming research happening here and elsewhere, in Seattle on June 13th. All five spoons will be there, presenting, which is a rare and historic occurrence!

Please enjoy all the goods, and let us know if there is anything we can do for you that we aren't already doing.

With love,

Spoon Full Farmers
