May 5 Eggs and Beef

Posted on May 1st, 2019 by Mericos Rhodes

Dear Spoon Full Farm Family:

It feels good to be connected. As life emerges from the warming earth, we feel connected to new growth of nature, and we are delighted to share that connection with you.

Last week, we five spoons took a walk along the river. It had been far too long since we blocked off an hour to simply walk, together. As the light evened down to dusk, the newly-sprouted cottonwood leaves perfumed the air, and little wildflowers beckoned with beauty. Our conversations and feet moved at an easy pace.

For the first time since we all joined together (since Phoebe and Anna arrived, that is), we took a photo as a group! Looking at that photo warms our hearts and strengthens our hands for the long, hard work ahead. Revitalizing a large section of earth and providing bountiful food, at the same time, isn’t easy. We are blessed to have the five of us working together, to form a group with greater power and compassion than the sum of our parts, on this epic project.

And we are blessed to have each of you CSA members, for whom we work together — your enjoyment of the delicious food we grow is like water.

It gives us life, and then our work gives plants life, and those plants give you life. A cycle, in balance, with love.

Love,

Spoon Full Farmers
