(Over)Abundance

Dear Spoon Full Farm Family:
In March, the greenhouse was immaculate. Woodchips on the ground, tables with little sprouts, not a weed in sight.
Now it’s a jungle. In a good way, that is. In a productive way. In a Hanging-Gardens-of-Babylon kind of way. The vines of our Esterina cherry tomatoes (which you have been enjoying for nearly two months) have scaled up their twine trellises and grappled towards the roof. They’ve grown so tall we have to stretch to reach them, and the whole vine constantly offers up the golden sweetness of the sun.
Now the vines are offering much more than we expected, and more than we can fit in our market booths! So we are offering our surplus to you, in the form of extra cherry tomatoes. These beauties freeze and dry very well, and as you know, they’re very easy to eat like candy. Add as many pints as you would like to your box, this week, as extras. Compliments of the Spoon Full Hanging Gardens. Enjoy!

With love,
Spoon Full Farmers
