Hello, Spring (and important CSA information)!

Posted on April 9th, 2020 by Justina Soltys

Dear Spoon Full Farm Family,

The spring season is upon us!

The spring winds have gotten stronger, our pastures have started to turn green and lush, and the days have grown longer (and warmer). We've planted hundreds of seedlings this week alone, with many more transplanting days ahead of us. Just this week, we've planted numerous rows of sweet onions, parsley, oregano, and romanesco broccoli (yum). Our garlic, which was planted last fall, has started to come up through the mulch. We can't help but get extremely excited for the summer season to come.

Sign ups for our 2020 Spoon Full CSA are still open and filling up fast. We only have a couple of spots left before we close our Produce CSA for the summer. Sign up now for a whole summer of delicious goodness. Our 2020 Summer Grass-fed Beef CSA is now full, but due to so much interest for our delicious and rich grass-fed beef, we are working on offering a Summer Grass-fed Beef CSA 2.0 later in the summer. Stay tuned for more information!

A couple of important information regarding your CSA shares this week:

~Members who pick up their shares at glassybaby: your pick up window for your CSA share is from 12 p.m to 5 p.m. Similar to past weekends, one of our farmers will be at glassybaby for the entire pick-up duration to hand you your pre-packed share.

~Members who signed up for Capitol Hill pickups: The market organizations are working with the city (Seattle) to re-open the markets this month, with the possibility of them opening as soon as this weekend. We have yet to receive any confirmation of whether the market will open this Sunday or not, so for this weekend, we will continue to offer the two options we have offered in recent weeks. You can choose to pick up your winter share at glassybaby madrona from 12-5 p.m, for no additional cost OR you can choose to have your share delivered straight to your home for a fee.

Please email me (Justina) at justina@spoonfullfarm.com to let me know which option you'd prefer. If you have selected home delivery through Harvie, or if you have already expressed to me which option you would prefer, you can ignore this request.

~Members who pick up at Bloom Juice/Mercer Island: Our pick-up window for Bloom Juice/Mercer Island has changed, and you can now pick up your CSA share from Bloom Juice/Mercer Island from 12:30 p.m - 5:00 p.m.

As always, do not hesitate to email me, at justina@spoonfullfarm.com with any questions you have.

Treat yourself with care, and kindness. May our grass-fed beef and pastured eggs nourish you and your loved ones.

We love you!

Wishing you good health and much happiness,

Your Spoon Full Farmers
