Winter CSA Week 6 February 16

Posted on February 10th, 2022 by Amy Philson

As many of you know, Summer CSA sign-ups have started.  A lot of you had your Auto-Renew processed this week.  If you have Auto-Renew turned off on your account, you can go to Harvie | CSA / farm shares from NWPA Growers Co-op to check out Summer CSA options and place your order.

You will notice that our Farm Share prices increased quite a bit this year.  As you know, prices of almost everything have been increasing, including food and farm supplies.  However, the majority of the price increase will be reflected in larger share sizes.  We have moved to a Full Grocery Share, so you will see more local products besides just veggies in your share.  And all of the products that come from producers that aren't members of NWPA Growers will now be available to swap into your share rather than as extras.

Speaking of swapping, when you customize your share, be sure to look for the green banner that tells you if you can add more products at no extra charge.

We sometimes see shares come through that don't have their entire budget used up, which makes us sad to see you missing out on more fabulous local products.

This Week

Dinner Bell Farm is back with baked goods this week!  English Muffin Bread, Focaccia Bread, Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, and Pepperoni Rolls.  Grab 'em before they're sold out!

Harmony Grove Farm is loaded with lettuce right now.  Enjoy a fresh salad...or two or three.

Our chickens are plugging right along, so don't forget your farm-fresh eggs.  Available from Detweiler Farm, Mickley Farm, and Bushel and a Peck Farm.  I noticed that our Easter Egg chickens that lay blue and green eggs are starting to return from their laying sabbatical last week.
