Winter CSA Week 1

Posted on November 26th, 2020 by Amy Philson

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.  Since we have a large family (7 children plus one has a family of his own) and we see each other regularly, we had a houseful of love and good food.  The photo is of our turkey, purchased from Moose Farm who provided some of the turkeys we sold to CSA and Webstore members.

Share Customization:  This email tells you what is planned for your CSA Share this week.  You can make swaps and add additional items to your share by clicking the link below.  Here is a help document that explains all about swaps and extras:  https://harvie.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001667414-How-Swaps-and-Extras-Work.  The customization period will close on Sunday at noon.  That will allow me to add any leftover greens to the Webstore for the last day.

Preferences:  If you haven't set preferences yet, please do so here.  It's what Harvie uses to create your customized share.  If you hate beets or cabbage, you don't ever have to see them in your share if you have your preferences set.  Returning members should update your preferences since we have added a few items to the list since last spring.  Here is a document explaining  how preferences work:  https://harvie.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021794754-How-do-preferences-work-

Webstore:  Our Webstore will be open all weekend at www.nwpagrowers.com/login.  You can place orders for additional items, some of which aren't listed on Harvie, at that site.  If you would like to receive email updates about Webstore announcements, shoot me an email and I will add you to that mailing list.

CSA Share Pickup:  When you pick up your CSA Share at the location you chose, please locate the box with your name on it.  Take the packing list out of the sleeve and remove the plastic liner with your food.  If you have a small Webstore order, that will be in your CSA box, too.  GENTLY fold the box, being careful not to rip the flaps.  We reuse the boxes so you get more food for your money instead of paying for new boxes.  If you have meat or cheese add-ons, those will be in the cooler bag labeled with your name.

If you have questions, please don't hesitate to email me.  Note that I will not be as readily available this Friday and Saturday because I will be working at our farm's store at Grove City Outlets for Black Friday.  I will check email, just not as often as usual, so please be patient.
