The fall red raspberry crop is in full swing. Chris and Erin have been busy picking the berries, and Mary and Chris have been making raspberry jam. Our biggest problem this year is finding good canning lids! We did manage to find some and are offering red raspberry jam this week at our online farm1 read more »

Raspberries Are Back!

Posted on September 8th, 2020
We are picking our fall crop of red raspberries and have lots of half-pints available this week. The fall crop is the big one, so we should have them for several weeks. The tomatoes are still going strong, too, though beginning to wind down a bit. This week we're offering a peck of Roma paste tomat1 read more »

We finally had almost an inch of rain in the past few days, and the gardens are already looking better. The beets are doing well, and we have plenty on the order list this week. Beets are delicious boiled until tender, sprinkled with salt and pepper and then tossed with butter. Or grate r1 read more »

We Still Need Rain!

Posted on July 28th, 2020
We've had some rain in the past week at the farm, but only a few tenths of an inch. Some crops are still having a rough time. There's not much lettuce, and the green beans have shut down. It will take some time for them to produce beans again. New this week: We have started digging potatoes and are1 read more »

Hot, Dry Days of Summer!

Posted on July 21st, 2020
It's been hot and dry on the farm for all of July, with only 4/10 inch of rain the whole month. It's taking a toll on our crops, especially the lettuce, mint, and green beans. Even though we irrigate for a couple hours each day, the high heat is "frying" things anyway. At least the berries are stil1 read more »
