Week 20 -- Thank you!

Posted on October 30th, 2023 by Kristine Hammel

And here we are in the last week of the season! Whew!

Thank you for joining us this season and for supporting your local farming community!  I hope you enjoyed the vegetables and the time spent preparing and eating them. Your commitment enables us to focus on growing great vegetables and to taking care of our land for the benefit of the wider community. For example, this summer, we observed numerous endangered species living in and around our veg field. We saw several species of snakes, lots of frogs and toads, and monarch butterflies. The farm as a whole is home to dozens of species of birds, including the rare wood thrush. By choosing to support a small, local farm you are having a positive impact on your local landscape. Thank you!!

Even though this is the last week of the regular season, we're not quite done. In mid-November, we will do another, optional delivery via the farm stand. There will be lots of carrots, onions (red, yellow, shallots, cipollini), celeriac, Oskar's potatoes and more. Stay tuned for updates.

And don't forget to order your Christmas goose! Oskar has a few more available and they will be ready for pick up this Friday evening/Saturday morning. Order here.

And early in December, we will have lamb available from our flock...more info coming soon.

Happy eating and all the best!!

Kristine
