Spring/Summer CSA ~ Week 1 of 22

Posted on April 12th, 2019 by Pam Dysinger

Hello CSA family,

Welcome to another season.  We can't wait to see our faithful customers who have been with us for many years, and we are equally excited to meet those who are joining us for the first season.

The Purple Martins are back to sing to us while we work, Spring is in the air (sometimes this week it felt like Summer), the farm is freshly mown, the hoop houses are bursting with beauty and the snapdragons are standing tall showing off their new colors!  It is a wonderful time of year where new beginnings are all around us, and life feels fresh and exciting.  Maybe it is more that way this year for John and I.  We are refreshed from a year long Sabbatical.  Last year at this time we were facing 2 weddings and now they are behind us, we have travelled to Oregon, Texas, Australia, and Romania sharing our passion for the agrarian life; but now we are back to what we love and what we are called to -- living a quiet, simple life working with our hands.  It feels so good to be back to farming!

We have exciting new additions, like more flowers, herbs and ginger.  And then there are the staples that everyone loves. This week you will see some of those: lettuce, radishes, carrots, kale, arugula...and more!

See you on Tuesday!
