End of Summer Season!

Posted on August 20th, 2023 by Pam Dysinger

It’s hard to believe that our summer season is coming to a very quick close, the last six months have flown by!! As with every season there were ups and downs.  This year we had very few strawberries, but our new 7ft electric fence kept the deer out of all our crops, and gave us an uninterrupted flow of lettuce and lots of beets. We had a great group of interns who we trust are leaving us with a new understanding of the importance of agriculture, whether for a livelihood or just to supply the needs of a family.  We enjoyed many hours of classes time, farm tours weekend activities, worship, study, and many hours of working together.

The new season means Joshua and Kelli will be taking the lead (September-February), along with Caleb and a couple hired workers (former interns). John and I have a long list of projects to work on over the winter months as well and investing more time in our aging parents. We want to wish you a wonderful Fall/Winter season and look forward to seeing you all again come Spring!
