Goodbyes are Hard!

Posted on June 4th, 2023 by Pam Dysinger

Good byes are always hard for me, and this morning (6.4.23) we had a really hard one.  Kendra arrived on our farm in March of 2020, just before Covid hit.  That was one of the most difficult and yet best summers on the farm (Difficult due to destructive weather and the overflow at the pond breaking which caused it to drain. Best because all our plans were sacked and we had to stay on the farm and we actually had a wonderful fun summer!).  It was during that Summer that Kendra really worked her way into or hearts! During the summer of 2021 Kendra worked on the farm of some friends of ours, but in February of 2022 we enticed her back and she has been with us since then.  We knew our days were numbered when Silas came into the picture, and today was the dreaded day that has been looming ahead.  Today the future became present, and today these two adventurous young people started their trip back to their families and the place they love, the great north west!  For those of you who had the privilege of getting to know Kendra you will understand when I say that her joy, laughter, encouragement, friendship and love for the Lord will be greatly missed!

On the veggie front the summer “stuff” is in - tomatoes, eggplant, summer squash & cherry tomatoes! Enjoy!
