Adaptability -

How adaptable are you?  What has covid taught you about yourself? Let's take some lessons from my herb bed.  First of all herbs are very hardy and easy to grow, in fact they don't like their soil to be too "rich" or too moist.  Herbs are survivors!  They don't need to be fussed over too much - now that's my kind of plant.  We recently cut our oregano bed way back to see how quickly it could recover.  To our surprise the woody little shoots already had new growth and by our cutting away the old those little sprouts were able to see the sun and really start to grow.  Herbs seem to grow anywhere, under any conditions.  Look at the picture above.  That is a determined oregano plant!  While the sprout was being crowded out by the large older leaves it found another spot to grow, and came right through the retaining wall. When I work in my herb bed I am reminded to be adaptable.

Just a reminder to make sure your auto renew is set if you would like to roll seamlessly into the Fall/Winter season. Whatever financial choice you made when you signed up is the plan you will have going forward, but you will all have the choice to change to a weekly payment plan if you would like.

Have a great week!
