First Week of August (August 4, 2020)

Posted on August 2nd, 2020 by Pam Dysinger

August has arrived!  Do you know what that means, besides that it's HOT? We are in the last month of the Spring/Summer CSA, which is hard to believe but true.  Harder to believe is that fact that we are also in the last month of our 6 month internship! So, we are both rejoicing and mourning.  But, we must not borrow joy and sorrow from the future, "Sufficient for the day is its own troubles."  Thanks to our oldest son who has a boat, and our 3rd son who has a jet ski, we are taking the interns to the lake today (Sunday 2nd) to have a day of well deserved fun!  So, what else is happening on the farm this week? We are looking forward to some cooler weather, continuing work on damaged hoop houses from the spring storms,  doing some significant improvement to our movable tunnels (Adding cement "runways" to make the houses super easy to move and re-anchor), cultivating, planting and harvesting and best of all taking the food to you!

Have a wonderful week!
