Farm Happenings for June 11, 2019

Posted on June 9th, 2019 by Pam Dysinger

Dear CSA family,

From the unborn child to the eldest among you we count it a real privilege to be a part of feeding  you.  It is not a responsibility we take lightly.  My dear husband (John) is the production manager on our farm and is responsible to make sure that we have a continuous supply of produce through the spring and summer.  He puts countless hours into seed selection, crop rotations, soil amending and season extending techniques.  This year he is trying to have lettuce for you through the whole summer which doesn’t naturally happen in TN, but with a little more effort he feels that we can do it. So when you open your box this week just know that much more has gone into that box of beautiful produce than the harvesting of it.  You have been thought of, you have been planned for, these crops have been prayed over, and now you will receive the culmination of those thoughts, plans and prayers.

May you be blessed by the nutrient dense food places on your table this week.

Blessings,

Pam
