Back at it after a Happy Thanksgiving

Posted on November 25th, 2023 by Dave Redfearn

We hope you had a blessed and happy Thanksgiving.  We didn't send you a Happy Thanksgiving message because we were afraid someone might not read the message and simply think it was their normal CSA pickup email and then show up at an empty delivery site.  But despite not saying it on the day, we did think of you as we celebrated Thanksgiving and we were grateful for you and thanked God for his provision through your membership and for the privilege it is to serve you throughout the year.  So thank you!  Thank you!

If you are like us, you might feel overstuffed with starches and sugars and now is the time to eat fresh greens!  Fortunately, we'll be ready to provide all the good healthy stuff this week.  Starting this Thursday (Nov 30th) we'll be doing 3 consecutive weeks of CSA deliveries before Christmas and New Years interfere with the schedule for a couple weeks.

LAST CALL FOR GINGER AND PEPPERS

It's getting too cold to justify the propane use to keep the peppers and ginger going, so we're planning on tearing both out after this week, so this is your last chance for ginger and peppers.  Both can be frozen for use later in winter so this week is the time to stock up.  Once they're gone we'll turn the thermostat down in the greenhouse and focus on growing greens in there.
