Last Summer CSA of 2022

Posted on October 8th, 2022 by Dave Redfearn

That's a wrap guys!  This is the last delivery of the season October 13-15.  We hope you've enjoyed the season.  It's been a crazy one with a tornado to start it off but we've made it to the end.  Thanks for sticking with us!

If you're signed up for the winter CSA, then we'll have veggies for you the following week (October 20th).  If not, we hope to see you again next year.

We sent out info about autorenew earlier, but I'm attaching the information again below for your information.  This relates to the summer season only at this point.  If you want to be in the summer 2023 season, you need to have your autorenew setting in Harvie set to "on".  Again see the detailed info below.

First frost

We had our first frost at the farm Friday night.  It got down to 28 degrees here which was enough to kill off the peppers, tomatoes, zucchini and eggplant, but that was to be expected.  It's a bit early for the first frost, but we tend to have them early here at the farm. We did do a final harvest of those crops so we still have some this week! And we still have sweet Italian peppers in the tunnels so you don't have to completely say goodbye to the summer crops! You can chop and freeze peppers for use in cooked dishes over the winter.

 Bread and Cheese

Farm to Market Sourdough Artisan Loaf

Hemme Brothers Rubbed and Smoked Cheddar block

I'd write more, but I'm needed out in the sweet potato harvest, so sorry I about that but I've got to sign off for now.

Thanks again for being part of our CSA this season!  We very much appreciate your support.

Your farmers,

Dave and Sheri

FAQ's

Don't want to participate in this season or need to change your payment option?

To opt out of auto renew or change your payment options

  1. Log into your Harvie account here: https://www.harvie.farm/member/auto-renew-settings
  2. Update your auto renew settings

What will I be charged?

You will be defaulted into the payment option you chose when you first placed your order.

What if I need to change my location, share type, frequency, or share size?

You can make changes to your order during the grace period and prior to the process payment date.

What if I don't want the next season but want to participate in the future?

Just login and uncheck the auto renew box. When you are ready to join us again, just sign up as you normally would. You'll still have an account with us!

Why is my farm doing auto renew vs. traditional sign up methods?

Auto renew is done as a courtesy to you. Simply "set it and forget it" and continue to get farm-fresh produce from us season to season without missing a delivery. You no longer have to remember to sign up every season. We take the worry out of it. This also ensures your spot gets saved before sign up opens to the general public!

What if I already signed up for the next season?

If you already signed up for the next season you will not be auto renewed again and can disregard this message!

Questions or concerns? Just reply back to this email or reach out to support@harvie.farm and we'll be happy to answer your questions!
