The world suddenly turned ten thousand shades of green. Overnight. Our cover crops are especially vibrant right now. These are large areas on the farm that we've planted to red clover and timothy, or rye and vetch, or oats and peas. As soon as we saw the 10 day forecast with nighttime temperatures in the 40's and 50's, we jumped on this opportunity to get peppers, summer squash, and eggplant in the ground last Friday. At last!! Warm weather!! The fruit trees are blooming, the peepers are peeping, and the bees are out pollinating.... read more »
