June is here, and the veggies are ready for your first summer farm shares. Be sure to check out the mushrooms available from Hidden Valley Mushrooms in the Dells. You will have the opportunity to order mushrooms about once per month.
A few housekeeping notes - you have until Sunday evening to swap, add to, or make any other changes to your share.
When you go to pick up your share, locate the box with your name on it. Some orders are unable to fit in one box, so be sure to look for a second (or third) box. (Boxes that are a part of an order with multiple boxes will be labelled 1/2, 2/2, etc.) Take home the plastic box liner bag, unfold the empty cardboard box, and leave the empty box at the pick up location.
We have some beautiful arugula this week with its lovely peppery bite. I love to make arugula pesto. I use sunflower seeds or walnuts instead of pine nuts and green garlic. I toss it with pasta or mix it with more olive oil and some yogurt as a salad dressing.
