Spring Share: Week 4

Posted on May 21st, 2021 by Lauren and Craig Kreutzer

The season marches on! As we enter our last week of harvest for the spring share, we are clearing out spent crops in the hoophouse in preparation for planting cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and hot peppers. The hoophouse is high value real estate - allowing us to extend our growing season and create an ideal environment for some crops. We will be building a second hoophouse later this year, and we look forward to being able to offer a few more spring shares in 2022.

The butterhead lettuces in this week's shares are gorgeous! Perfect for adding to a burger or sandwich or for making lettuce wraps/cups. We love to use lettuce leaves as a vehicle for egg salad or chicken salad or any of these fillings

Our first summer shares are scheduled for delivery on June 9th. There is a plenty of delicious produce to look forward to!
