Final Winter CSA Delivery for Spring 2024

Posted on April 27th, 2024 by Dave Redfearn

This will be the final winter CSA delivery for spring 2024. If you are signed up for summer, the summer season starts the following week with deliveries on May 9th, 10th and 11th depending upon your pickup location. Remember, the summer and winter seasons are completely separate. JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE A WINTER MEMBERSHIP DOES NOT MEAN YOU ALSO HAVE A SUMMER MEMBERSHIP. You will need to make sure you are signed up for summer if you want your CSA veggies to continue. You can check to see if you have summer deliveries scheduled (AKA are you signed up for summer?) by going here: https://www.harvie.farm/member/deliveries  if you don't have deliveries scheduled out into October, then you are not signed up for summer.  If you want to sign up for summer you can do that here: https://www.harvie.farm/farm/where-the-redfearn-grows-natural-farm/signup

We're still short of our needed CSA membership numbers for the summer, so please pass along our info.  There's only a week left to sign up and still get in on the beginning of the season, so now is the time to get the word out.  Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much for being part of our winter CSA this year.  We hope you've enjoyed it and we hope to see you again next winter and for those of you sticking around for summer, we'll be looking forward to continuing to serve you some fabulous veggies in the coming weeks.

Farm Pond Full and Ready

We are so glad to have received enough rain just in time to fill our new and improved irrigation pond.  It's brim full and ready to help keep our veggies growing strong all summer.  With all the rain we've gotten the last few days, it's hard to imagine needing to irrigate, but the time will come no doubt and we hope to be ready with literally millions of gallons of rainwater collected and ready to go.

The summer crops are just about ready to go outdoors. Once the soil dries out a bit and as long as the forecast keeps looking good with low temps in the 50s and 60s, we should be planting peppers and tomatoes outdoors any day now.  It's really getting busy around here right now.

Bread and Cheese

Farm to Market Italian Artisan Loaf

Hemme Brothers Quesadilla Cheese Block

Thanks again for eating with us this winter.  We couldn't do this without you.

Your very own, personal farmers,

Dave and Sheri
