Summer Share: Week 1

Posted on May 30th, 2020 by Lauren and Craig Kreutzer

Hello, Summer CSA Members!

We are excited to be entering the summer CSA season. Field crops have enjoyed the rain and are looking forward to warm, sunny days ahead. We are thankful for the bounty of our hoophouse - spinach, kohlrabi, carrots, salad turnips, chard/beet greens, and kale. The green garlic is particularly delicious. It can be used like mature garlic or scallions. Or try out this recipe for Pizza with Green Garlic Pesto and Spinach.

You will have until Monday morning at 5 AM to make any adjustments to your share. Please, check out the location and timing details for your first pick up and contact us if you have any questions. Take home the plastic bag liner and leave behind the empty, unfolded produce box. If you are receiving egg shares, you can also leave clean, empty egg cartons for us to reuse.

You will find bags of Collin's Coffees available for purchase as an extra. Interested in trying a bag, but not ready to commit to a coffee share? Here is your chance! This week's coffee is Collin's Costa Rica Direct - smooth and balanced with hint of citrus acidity. Bags are whole bean and 12 ounces.

Head up! Next week, we will be offering mushrooms for purchase from Hidden Valley Mushrooms. (The next opportunity will be the July 1st delivery.)

Enjoy your weekend!

Your Farmers,
Craig and Lauren
