Farm Happening for October 6, 2022

Posted on October 3rd, 2022 by Emily Tzeng

Welcome to Week 19! We have TWO weeks left for this CSA session. We still have space left in our Fall CSA! Look for a separate email about Fall CSA details.

Its another fall week with highs in the 70s, which I can't complain about! So nice to have a warm fall to balance out the challenging, wet spring. This week, we are looking forward to fall sheep shearing, picking up the rest of the potatoes out of the field so we can prep that field for 2023 garlic, and more winter tunnel planting.

Veg this week:

Winter Squash!  We finished picking up the squash this weekend and it was a bountiful crop! Some of the varieties need some time to cure and sweeten up in storage, but we have lots of spaghetti squash, delicata squash, acorn squash, and pumpkins ready this week!

Maybe the last week for tomatoes? We have to start taking down the vines to prep for winter greens.

Lots of broccolini! Our latest planting is really taking off with this warm weather.
