Farm Happenings for December 15, 2022: The LAST SHARE!

Posted on December 12th, 2022 by Emily Tzeng

We have made it to the last week of CSA season! If you have been with us for the whole season, thanks for joining us for 28 weeks of local, seasonal veggies! Please be on the look out for an end of season customer survey and please fill it out so we can improve in 2023!

This week on the farm we are so close to finishing up some projects! Our new high tunnel is awaiting a calm, windless day for the plastic to be pulled and then we are attaching some gutters to it to catch rainwater. Breeding season is over and the ewes are all regrouping to gestate together all winter. We are also about to install some permanent irrigation lines, a project that is a long time in the making and made possible thanks to some funding from the Pierce County Conservation District. We are also about embark on "Planning Season" and will be ordering seeds for 2023 in no time.

Flower Lovers! Our favorite flower farmer Sweet Alyssum Farm is offering a four week Spring Flower CSA! Spring flowers are so special and would make lovely gift this holiday season!

We hope everyone has a restful winter and enjoy these dark winter days!
