The rains haven't been easy on all of our crops but our Summer favorites are growing like crazy! I think if I had sat in the cucumber beds for an hour I would have been able to watch them grow! Check out this adorable baby cucumber!

Rain and Pottery and FREE freezer strawberries!
With the incredible rain we got, it definitely had an effect on our crops. The peas LOVE it, they doubled in size and we will be harvesting our first snap pease next week! Season change
Sixth week of our Harvest Box can it be?? In a typical spring, time seems to be both at a standstill and fly by in April and May. Strawberry and Salad Greens Abundance!

About the farm
The Urban Teaching Farm grows fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs on 1 acre of land in the Historic Warnersville neighborhood in Greensboro, NC. Our aim is to to be a financially, ecologically, and culturally sustainable farm so that we can improve access to fresh foods and provide learning opportunities in our community. Our desire is to reintroduce farming to young people so that they not only can grow their own food from their balcony but perhaps become farmers themselves.
