First frost soon and Farm Tour November 6th! 2-4p

Posted on October 30th, 2021 by Lilly Emendy

With the first frost of the year forecasted for the next 10 days, we are zipping around the farm to button up winter high tunnels, cover sensitive crops, and make the last round of harvests from our summer superstars like cherry tomatoes, lunchbox peppers, and hot peppers. This next week will very likely be the last for all the crops is the nightshade family.

Oh and mark you calendars, next Saturday (A week from today) on November 6th we will be hosting our last Farm Tour for the season from 2-4p. We will walk to all of our fields, point out the interesting farm things happening above and below the soil, share about the history of this land, and what we've learned about growing in this space. Come with questions and probably a scarf!

Keep growing,

Lilly
