Giving Thanks

Posted on November 16th, 2022 by Danielle *Allen

First snow and a big sigh of relief. The end of the season race to get everything tucked in or put away before the snow flies is always a big task. There's something so calming about dormancy settling in all around us.

The harvest season has been bountiful and we have an abundance of delicious local foods ready for your Thanksgiving table. We're excited to offer Vermont grown cranberries and two of our favorite apples of the season, Macoun and Cox Orange Pippen. Remember, you have two boxes scheduled this week! Make sure to click through to customize both boxes. There will be no deliveries next Friday 11/25 or Saturday 11/26.

Even if you're not planning a big feast for the holiday, this is a great time to stock up on your favorite storage vegetables before supplies run out. Scroll down to check out all your options for carrots, cabbage, butternut squash, turnips, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, spinach, lettuce, parsley, broccoli, krauts and more.

Thank you for choosing local food and supporting organic farmers! We hope your Root 5 Farm CSA share offers inspiration for many nutritious and delicious meals this holiday season.
