Food Security

Posted on October 21st, 2022 by Danielle *Allen

Our definition of food security includes tunnels full of winter kale and spinach, a barn full of butternut squash, a cooler full of carrots, and barrels upon barrels of sauerkraut. We work hard to grow and store these critical winter foods so we can continue to have a diverse and nutritious diet throughout the winter months.

As we wrap up our field harvest this week, this marks the end of our Summer & Fall CSA Shares. For some of you, this will be your final CSA box for the season. We truly hope you've enjoyed this journey of eating with the seasons with us, and we wish you continued health and happiness throughout the winter months. We'll open CSA sign ups for the 2023 season in early February. Many of you are already set up with auto-renew, so you don't have to worry about remembering to sign up.

If you're staying on with us through December, we're scheduled to move into our hoop houses next week to continue harvesting greens and herbs for our Winter Shares. We're so excited about all the good food that is still to come!
