Meet Seth Bent. What a guy. He's been with Root 5 Farm for six(!) years and he's remarkable in every way. He's an invaluable member of our crew, working year-round operating tractors, building greenhouses, renovating barns, breaking things, fixing things- he does it all! Seth grew up on his family's farm in Etna, New Hampshire where he learned how to drive a tractor at age 10. He continues to help raise cows, make hay, and sugar with his dad in the spring. AND he grows potatoes for your CSA Shares. He just dug 700 lbs of beautiful red potatoes for your shares this week. He's a fantastic farmer. When asked why he loves farming Seth explained, "Taking care of the planet while providing good food for people is what it's all about. Organic farming practices are an avenue to preserve mother nature and community."

Root 5 Farm is a certified organic vegetable farm located on 38 acres in Fairlee, Vermont, along the Connecticut River. The fertile river bottom soils provide a rich environment for growing over 100 different varieties of vegetables and herbs.
