Summer Share: Week 8

It's hard to believe that July is coming to a close. When we aren't harvesting, we're turning over spring crops, planting fall successions, and weeding weeding weeding. 

This week's shares feature familiar favorites - new potatoes, green cabbage, and carrots. We've been making cilantro coleslaw with shredded cabbage, carrots, and pearl onions (the torpedo onions or scallions would work great, as well). I toss the veggies with some mayo, sour cream, honey, salt, and lime juice. It's the perfect side or topping for tacos. 

Be sure to check out the offerings from Hidden Valley Mushrooms. The crimini are my favorite. They make an amazing stroganoff, and I love to add them to our Friday night's pizza.
