Happy Labor Day weekend!
With September on it's way, I want to extend an invitation to all of our CSA members, friends, and neighbors to our Fall Harvest Party on Sunday, September 22nd. For the fourth year in a row, Hearthside Chariot will be here making wood-fired pizzas with our veggies. We ask that you all bring an appetizer, side, dessert, and/or beverage to share. We'll gather at noon and pizza service will begin around 1pm. There will be a self-guided farm tour and some other farm-y fun. We'll be sending out an e-invite soon.
This week on the farm, we finished seeding fall cover crops, worked on prepping the hoophouse for fall plantings, and began sorting our garlic. Harvest stills fills the majority of our week, but we're still working hard to keep up with weeding and cleaning up beds as harvest is complete.
