Farm Happenings for July 14, 2020

Posted on July 13th, 2020 by Emily Tzeng

Hello everyone! They say summer doesn't officially start in the NW until after July 4, and that is definitely true this year! With the long spring, we have be able to still have lots of great greens available and now more summer crops are finally starting to come in.

Just a reminder:

Flower Shares: Members who have purchased flower shares, please make sure to pick them up!

New crops: Big cauliflowers and new potatoes have joined the line up! These thin skinned new potatoes are such an early summer treat! We love them simply steamed with butter and herbs. Keep these in the fridge for the best shelf life. We also have the first of sweet onions and our favorite variety, heirloom red torpedo onions from Italy! These are fantastic sliced in half lengthwise and grilled. These onions are super mild and great in raw applications as well.
