Farm Happenings for August 28, 2019

Posted on August 22nd, 2019 by Lorien Carsey

Quite a storm on Tuesday! We hope everyone stayed dry. We added Anaheim "Hatch" chili peppers to the list, as well as hot little Serrano peppers, and Laratte fingerling potatoes. Our bunching greens are coming in from the new planting so look for more and more of those to be available. We are cultivating our carrots this week, handweeding our spinach, and trying to get a lot more potatoes dug. Next week we will be planting fall cover crops: a mix of crimson clover, hairy vetch, and winter wheat. Can't believe we are thinking about autumn. Reminder: please give us back our little plastic tomato quart containers if you can, and we'll reuse them. Have a great weekend!
