Farm Happenings for December 18, 2021: Final Pickup of 2021

Posted on December 7th, 2021 by Lorien Carsey

Happy December!

This Saturday is the LAST pickup for the 2021 Fall Shoulder Share.

Thank you for your generous support.

As the winter approaches, our harvests from the greenhouses get fewer and far between. In the summertime, we can get a harvest every two weeks from a planting of greens like arugula or lettuce. In the winter, we add one to two weeks between cuttings due to cold temperatures and reduced day length. That means production slows down by half.

We are looking forward to sitting down and taking stock of what the farm will be producing in the winter months.

As CSA members, you are our top priority when we move forward on winter plans and we will keep you in the loop.

We wish you joyful holidays with good food and lots of rest!

Thank you!
